What we do

ozLoan is a research and information site focused on Australian consumer and commercial lending. Our coverage includes owner-occupier home loans, investment property loans, first-home-buyer schemes, refinancing, self-employed lending, temporary-resident and non-PR lending, and small-business / commercial-property finance.

ozLoan does not originate loans directly. All practical broking work is handled by our licensed broker partners. Our role is to translate the Australian lending system — often fragmented across 40+ lenders, multiple state schemes and several federal programs — into something a reader can actually act on.

Editorial approach

  • Rate tables are refreshed at the start of each month from lenders’ published advertised rates
  • Policy explainers defer to official federal and state publications
  • Any case study figures are annotated with sample size, time window and data method
